I'll dominate 'serious combatant' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-bout contest which will be streamed live on the streaming platform.

British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the pair confronted each other to build hype for next month's bout.

Former two-time unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami's venue on 19 December.

Boxer's Mindset

"I'm going to injure his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove my superiority," Joshua, 35 years old, said.

"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I will seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my goal."

Civil Interaction

In spite of such comments, a calm Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - normally recognized for his showmanship - were respectful and remained civil with each other.

Paul instead targeted ex Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "ridiculous" after Ngannou declined a fight offer.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, criticized UK opponent Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul win.

"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he showed up," the boxer said.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Fighter

In spite of declaring he will damage his opponent, Joshua refused to talk badly about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he stated.

Paul's History

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.

He was defeated by British fighter Fury in last year.

Commercial Attraction

Still, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of boxing's largest financial successes, frequently receiving huge paydays.

Forecast and Belief

The 28-year-old predicted a stoppage in rounds four or five and asserted he would derail the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly being planned for 2026.

"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul said.

Size Difference

As the two fighters met for the traditional face-off, with their physical disparity evident, it drove home just how surprising this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is actually going ahead.
